Kiri training ground # 78

A young lady walks into the arena and is followed by a young ninja. She sits in a tree which is hte only one in the area. Otherwise it's a bit of land surronded by a massive lake. The young kage looks at the ninja there."Do you know your element?"

Having followed Hioa into the training grounds Nicholas was quite unfamiliar with the area he was currently in. He looked around at the scenery, analysing his whereabouts and places that could be quite good in a fight or anything like that. Him and the Mizukage were surrounded by a huge lake and it was quite odd of a place to train, though for people with the element of water this was quite an ideal place to train. Lucky for him he had the water element and earth element chakra aswell. God bless Senju. He walked up to the tree that was standing alone on the island, the Mizukage was up in the tree. He stared at her oddly at her choice of sitting then replied softly to her question.

"I have mastered two elements. Water and Earth"

He spoke quite proudly for two reasons. Not many people at his age and rank had mastered two elements at this point, with help by his clan. That was also the other reason for the pride in his voice, he was part of the Senju clan which contained the wood release Kekkei Genkai. That was really the reason why he had mastered the two elements with considerable ease.

She nodded softly" Well i wont be able to help much with elemental training. I have thundar and fire" She looked up at the tree's." How's your chakra control?"

Nicholas frowned at the difference of elements between him and his sensei. This would make training limited and he would most probably have to find someone else to train him in those areas. Maybe another Senju clan member? Oh well, she could help him with other areas that he needed to refine; combat, chakra control, non-elemental jutsus. He walked closer to the tree that was placed in the centre of the floating island, resting his back against it and looking out towards the lake. Crossing his arms he sighed quietly and continued to speak.

"Well that could be a bit of a problem. With my chakra control I'd rather not train that right now. Right now I'd rather train in the non-elemental jutsus that you could help me with, such as the body flicker jutsu"

Smirking as he finished speaking he carried on looking forward in front of him, not looking up at the Mizukage incase she suspected he was perverted. He didn't really want the kage to be thinking that of him.

Tenkazi nodded softly" Alright a great move to know. Basicly what you do is you focus chakra to the your feet and let go of it right as you move." She flickererd over a few feet as an example.

Listening carefully to what she was saying the Genin pushed his body off from the tree and walked forward. Not replying to what Hioa had said he thought it would be better to just show her what he can do. Closing his eyes for concentration he stood perfectly still as he focused on the words you had just said. He began to channel chakra into his feet and his legs. If the theory worked all he had to do was perform the neccesary hand seals and dash forward. Slowly performing the handseals he dashed forward instantly. Flickering forward a few feet he opened his eyes once again, turning to the Mizukage and smiling.

"That Didn't Seem To Hard"

She nodded softly' Yes the reason it is high ranking is the fact that it takes alot of chakra. Not the diffuclation."

Looking down towards the ground he ran his right foot in a small circular motion as he nodded in agreement to the words of his sensei. She was right of course, at his current chakra level he would only be able to do it two or three times in a battle before being out of chakra. That could be pretty dangerous so he should really only use it in an emergency and not casually. Looking up Nicholas breathed in deeply, breathing in the fresh air that skimmed off the surface of the lake around him before turning to Hioa.

"So, what's next?"

She places her head in her hand in a thinking motion." Well...How are you with a sword?" She grinned softly hoping he said either inaduqaate or quite well.

Nicholas frowned slightly as the Mizukage mentioned swords. It wasn't that he was terrible at using them it was just he didn't really own one to try his skills. He had practiced in the academy with wooden training katanas before but that was truly about it. The sensei's had praised him about his swordsmanship but the Genin didn't really consider himself to be any good at the art. He wouldn't mind trying to learn a bit about it though. Scratching his head slightly and pulling his arms back into his cloak he spoke softly.

"I guess you could say I was ok with a sword. Even if i do not own one I've practiced swordsmanship in the academy for a brief period and it seemed.. fun"

She nodded softly' Well the question is what kind of sword? There are small one's like the short blade or the tanto. Medium like katana's and long swords or massive blades as the zanbatou which i specilize in"

He grilled the thought over in his head, what sword would he be good at? The wooden swords he had used were much like katanas but he wasn't sure about that. Hioa mentioned she specialised with massive blades, that would be ideal of course because she specialised in it. Nicholas liked the though of that, now he had a reason to pick the big swords. He couldn't lie to himself, they semmed pretty damn fun to use. It seems he would have to save up for a sword like that though and they seem.. expensive. He could do missions for his sword money of course and other small errands.

"We used katanas in the academy but seeing how your speciality is with big sword I'd much like to train with them"

He smiled softly, a glimpse of mischief obvious in the smile. He had done it purposely to see if she would notice. It didn't really matter to Nicholas it just seemed like a bit of fun to him and see if his sensei could pick up on stuff like this.

She nodded softly" Arlight well i wont be using my main blade because honestly....That would destroy any blade we tried to train with and thats not good." Giggles softly" So we both will be using strong but basic zan's" She takes out a scroll and summons 2 zanbatous.

The Genin nodded as the Mizukage spoke, he understood of course. A sword that the Mizukage wielded was sure to be great in strength otherwise why would she favour it? He was happy using basic zans anyways, atleast the swords would be fair in equal strengh. Nicholas' eyes lit up as the zans were summoned into the training grounds, two of them? This meant that she was probably going to test his strength by sparring with him using these swords. He should have caught onto this sooner when she spoke of her sword managing to break a normal zan. He sighed inside for a brief moment knowing he would hold no chance in winning but hopefully he could impress her. Nicholas walked over to one of the zans and grabbed it firmly around this hilt with his right hand, fingers twitching around the hilt as he prepared himself to lift it. He attempted to raise it but only lifted it halfway before having to hold it with both of his hands and resting it on his left shoulder with the blunt side of the sword.

"I guess you'll be wanting to teach me about swordplay with a zan"

He smiled slightly as he uttered these words, he was sort of looking forward to sparring with a weapon like this. He looked up at it resting on his shoulder and he felt a surge of what would be arrogance. He felt as if he could take on anyone with a sword like this. That wasn't the case though as it would be like giving a baby a gun, he wouldn't know how to use it and would most probably kill itself with it.

She laughs" i'll be teaching you lots of different weapons. Kenjutsu does not just depend on zanbatou's. Yes their my speciality but i can teach with other." She grabed the zan and suprisingingly holds it in one hand with it pointed at you" Let have our flames of youth shine"

Nicholas smiled as he listened to your words. As soon as you finished he charged forwards towards you, the zan still on this shoulder. Holding the hilt with both his hands when he was in striking distance his muscle tensed in his arms as he lifted the zan from his shoulder and swung it in a diagonal motion from his left shoulder to his right in an attempt to cut your chest. The genin wasn't expecting to his much but maybe the other zan as she may block or thin air and she could easily side step the attack. He did this on purpose as he just wanted to start out simple.

She fliped the blade so it's blade was facing away from him and her and she blocked the attack with the hilt pushing up sending the blade away from her harmlessly and the motion brought the blade up for an upward slash on his chest.

Nicholas' teeth clenched together as his blow was deflected upwards and the incoming blade was headed for his chest. Thinking quickly he carried the momentum his sword had gained from the deflection to swing around his head and bringing it downards slightly while jumping backwards slightly to dodge the upwards slash. Now by the time the blade had swung around the Mizukage's blade struck air and the Genin's swords would connect in the blind spot underneath the hilt of her sword.

She saw the blade coming down and smirked a little bit. This kid has potential thats for sure, She thought to herself before jumping out of the way and smiling a bit. SHe moves her hand in a bring it fastion.

The blade dropped limp to the right of Nicholas, his right hand still clenching the hilt still. His face seemed slightly tired from wielding such a big sword around his body but he could still handle it. The shinobi's fingers twitched around the hilt once again as he gripped it tightly before breaking into a sprint, the sword cracking across the ground, shooting up dirt and gravel. As he got close enough he reached to the hilt with his other hand, lifting it upwards and diagonal once again from his right shoulder to his left attempting to strike you across once again.

She twisted around the blade dodging it and brings it lightly across your ankle. In a normal fight when she was trying she would have sliced the tendon but cripling your student is not good for training. She jumped away after the strike.

Nicholas' eyes darted around, watching his sensei's movements carefully. He cursed in his mind as she dodges around his strike so easily then he smiled again as he watched her attack his ankles. Jumping up slightly before she could reach his ankles he landed on the tip of her blade in an attempt to immobilise her sword attacks. He then brought down his zan towards his sensei's shoulder.

She grins softly and rips the sword appearing in half. However apon closer insepection it is not broken just a 2 part sword. She brings up one of hte halfs to blocki his stricks and lashes out with a leg at his leg to free the other half.

Nicholas' zan strikes down against one half of the zan that had just split in half. His eyesight shot to that, surprised by the unexpected counter he didn't see the leg being lifted against his before he could react. The Genin was knocked to the ground, his zan scraping across the other half of his opponents zan and landing on top of chest. He breathed slightly as he looked up at his sensei, preparing himself for her to strike at him.

She used the time that she gained when he was kncoked back by her kick to readjust the zan to make it full again. She truend it back away from him in the stance she had earlier and waited for him to come to strick again.
( Just a heads up most people consider me the best kenjutsu rp out there so dont be suprised)
