Mystique stood on the lake, but wasn't actually himself; it was a Mokuton Bunshin (Wood Clone). It's form of pure wood, capable of using his own Mokuton Releases. The clone simply stood there; waiting anxiously for whom would come to fight him here.
(Please don't make up crap how you know it's a Clone; if you know it's a clone you need either: (a) Sharingan Tamoe 2, or (b) Byakugan; or any other Chakra seeing Doujutsu.) | |
